Reaching Upward, Inward, and Outward

Our Motto

Our motto is to nurture and encourage each child to be the creative, unique individual God has designed them to be.

We are a non-profit ministry of Roscoe's First UMC, specializing in fulltime care for infants six weeks old through 4 years and a school-age program that serves children after school hours, through the age of 12.  While enrolled here, your child will be provided with high quality care.  We are licensed with the Texas Department of Family Protective Services.  At the present time we are licensed for 51 children.  We began our operation as a full-time child development center August 12, 2004.

Our Mission

Our mission is to fulfill and encourage the spiritual growth of children by providing a safe, loving, Christian environment in which to learn.  We believe that early childhood should be a time of fun, security, exploration and discovery.  Our staff will strive to nurture and encourage each child to be the creative, unique individual God has designed them to be.

Our Vision

Our vision is that the CDC will be a place where Jesus can pour out his love to the children and use the teachers as witnessing tools.

Our Philosophy

Our philosophy is that we feel the best way to teach is by providing a child with a Christ-based developmentally appropriate learning environment.  We teach self-help skills, social skills, Christian living, language development, fine and gross motor development and pre-academic skills.  We seek to serve the TOTAL child.  Everything that affects your child is of utmost importance to their teacher.  We desire a close relationship between the CDC staff and each child's family.
